Working for Canada!
Another exciting thing that is happening is the GO MEDIA event in Whistler, BC., this september 20th for 4 days. Basically it is a media event to showcase Canada and all it has to offer. I have been contracted to cover the event from start to finish, I am excited as all the media that is coming are potential clients. Well everyone is a potential client but in this case all the guest's on the invite list are in my industry as they almost all are in publishing media or reporting media. Not too often do photographers are hired to document an event with this many potential contacts, and with the 2010 Winter Games approaching fast this will be great for me and Whistler.
ESPN upgrade
I thought it was exciting my ESPN blog entry was bumped up to run on the main banner ESPN Freeskier page. I was happy to see that my images made the people at ESPN Freeskier happy! I recived many complments on the shout out that Tim Mutrie at ESPN gave me and traffic to my website increesed almost 300% in the last week alone. I heard about the power of Blogging and not that I see the results first hand I am sold and love this type of marketing.
New Work!
I have worked with my friend Andrew Doran on a few projects in the past with great success! So that is why we decided to work together on a new exciting project to collaborate and showcase all the talented people in and around Whistler that we both work with.
We are calling the new venture Whistler Talent. We have begun marketing hundreds of talented creative and skilled people that both of us have worked with over the combined 30 years of experience Andrew and I have working in the photography industry.
We have provided talent to some of the larger productions in Whistler, mainly on the still productions but look forward to bringing our talents and those we represent to the Film industry or well to all industries that require our talent base.
Please feel free to contact us directly Andrew Doran and I ( Rich Glass) or feel free to browse the Whistler Talent website. Keep in mind that our services extend past what we have listed, if you have a need for any type of Talent in or around Whistler, we have what you need and more.

ESPN blog!
Yea summer shooting!
My shoot up on the Blackcomb Glacier with Momentum Ski Camp last month is being featured on the ESPN website, I am stoked to see the images run so fast! Usually I have to wait for months to see my ski images used anywhere with the nature of the ski industry. Thats why its cool to see ESPN using my work in their Freesking blog section on their website.
I am also stoked that Peter Olenick said that one of my shots from this shoot was the best photo he has had taken of him ever! That was real nice to hear.. he might have been drunk but I doubt it!
It is mountain bike time in Whistler! Well it is always bike time in Whistler but right now it is Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival! Super cool event! And we are the best place in the world for mountain biking so why not have a 10 day festival! I have been pretty busy with the bikini project to shoot as much of the events as I would like but I did shoot the dual slalom and got some results I was happy with. I had yet to get my media pass so I had to shoot from the public areas so I tried some different things and came away stoked I took the time away from my other responsibilities.
